Welcome to EZZYLAW (“EZZYLAW”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), a legal services marketplace powered by ezzy.ph and owned and operated by EZZYTech IT Solutions.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of EZZYLAW, including our website, mobile applications, and all services, products, and features offered through the Platform.

By accessing or using EZZYLAW, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

1. About EZZYLAW

Our Platform

EZZYLAW is a technology marketplace that connects individuals and businesses with independent lawyers, law firms, legal consultants, and other legal professionals.

Services available through the Platform may include:

  • Legal consultations
  • Document review
  • Contract drafting
  • Business registration assistance
  • Notarial and legal document services
  • Corporate legal services
  • Labor and employment law consultations
  • Family law consultations
  • Property and real estate legal services
  • Intellectual property consultations
  • Other legal services available through the Platform

EZZYLAW serves solely as a technology platform facilitating service discovery, appointment bookings, communication, and payments between customers and independent legal professionals. Unless expressly stated otherwise, EZZYTech IT Solutions does not employ, supervise, manage, or control independent legal professionals.

2. Eligibility

User Requirements

To use EZZYLAW, you must:

  • Be at least eighteen (18) years old or the age of majority under applicable law.
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into legally binding agreements.
  • Provide accurate, complete, and current account information.
  • Comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

Parents or legal guardians are responsible for minors using their accounts where permitted by law.

3. User Accounts

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • All activities conducted under your account.
  • Keeping your account information accurate and up to date.
  • Promptly notifying EZZYLAW of any unauthorized access or suspected security breaches.

EZZYLAW reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Marketplace Services

Booking Services

EZZYLAW enables users to:

  • Search for lawyers and legal professionals.
  • Compare legal services.
  • Schedule consultations.
  • Book legal appointments.
  • Communicate with legal professionals.
  • Process payments where supported.
  • Submit reviews and ratings.

Service availability may vary depending on location, provider participation, scheduling, and applicable legal regulations.

5. User Responsibilities

Responsible Use

Users agree to:

  • Provide accurate booking and contact information.
  • Respect legal professionals and other users.
  • Pay applicable service fees.
  • Use the Platform only for lawful purposes.
  • Provide truthful information relevant to legal consultations.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Customers are responsible for reviewing a legal professional’s qualifications, areas of practice, pricing, availability, and engagement terms before confirming a booking.

6. Independent Legal Professional Responsibilities

Provider Obligations

Independent legal professionals are solely responsible for:

  • Legal services provided.
  • Professional qualifications and licenses.
  • Compliance with professional regulations and ethical standards.
  • Advice and legal opinions given.
  • Customer communication.
  • Pricing.
  • Client representation.
  • Compliance with applicable laws.

Providers must ensure that all information published on EZZYLAW remains accurate, complete, and current.

Providers acknowledge that they operate as independent professionals and are not employees, agents, or representatives of EZZYTech IT Solutions.

7. Bookings and Payments

Payment Processing

Payments may be processed through authorized third-party payment providers.

Where applicable, EZZYLAW may temporarily hold payments in accordance with the applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy before releasing funds to the independent legal professional.

Where applicable, the Platform Service Fee and any authorized deductions will be applied before the remaining balance is released to the provider.

Consultation fees, legal service fees, cancellation policies, and engagement terms may vary depending on the legal professional.

8. Platform Service Fees

Partner Fees

EZZYLAW charges a Platform Service Fee of 11% on every completed transaction processed through the Platform.

The Platform Service Fee is automatically deducted before the remaining balance is remitted to the Partner.

The current Platform Service Fee includes payment processing costs and supports:

  • Platform maintenance
  • Secure payment processing
  • Customer support
  • Security and fraud prevention
  • Marketing initiatives
  • Technology infrastructure
  • Continuous platform improvements

Partners remain responsible for their own applicable taxes, permits, licenses, professional obligations, and government requirements.

EZZYLAW reserves the right to revise its Platform Service Fee from time to time. Any changes will be communicated before becoming effective.

9. Reviews and Ratings

Community Reviews

Users may submit reviews based on genuine service experiences.

Users must not:

  • Publish false or misleading reviews.
  • Manipulate ratings.
  • Harass legal professionals or customers.
  • Post defamatory or offensive content.

EZZYLAW reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.

10. Attorney-Client Relationship

Legal Representation

Using EZZYLAW to search for or communicate with a legal professional does not automatically establish an attorney-client relationship.

An attorney-client relationship, where applicable, is formed only when both the client and the independent legal professional expressly agree to enter into such a relationship under the legal professional’s own engagement terms and applicable laws.

EZZYLAW does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal opinions.

11. Marketplace Disclaimer

Independent Legal Professionals

EZZYLAW serves solely as a technology marketplace connecting customers with independent lawyers, law firms, legal consultants, and other legal professionals.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, EZZYTech IT Solutions does not employ, supervise, manage, operate, or control independent legal professionals listed on the Platform.

Independent providers are solely responsible for:

  • Legal advice.
  • Legal representation.
  • Client communications.
  • Professional conduct.
  • Fees charged.
  • Compliance with legal and ethical obligations.
  • Professional licensing requirements.

The Platform Service Fee charged by EZZYLAW is solely for operating and improving the Platform and does not constitute payment for legal advice provided by EZZYTech IT Solutions.

12. Intellectual Property

Platform Ownership

All trademarks, logos, software, graphics, website content, text, images, videos, databases, and other intellectual property associated with EZZYLAW are owned by EZZYTech IT Solutions or their respective owners.

Users may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, scrape, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without prior written permission.

13. Prohibited Activities

Platform Misuse

Users must not:

  • Violate applicable laws.
  • Commit fraud or identity theft.
  • Create fake accounts.
  • Use unauthorized payment methods.
  • Upload malicious software.
  • Attempt unauthorized access.
  • Interfere with Platform operations.
  • Harass other users or providers.
  • Circumvent Platform Service Fees.
  • Manipulate bookings, payments, or reviews.
  • Misrepresent legal claims or submit fraudulent documents.

Violations may result in suspension or permanent termination of accounts.

14. Limitation of Liability

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EZZYTech IT Solutions shall not be liable for:

  • Legal advice provided by independent professionals.
  • Outcomes of legal matters or disputes.
  • Court decisions or government actions.
  • Missed filing deadlines caused by independent providers.
  • Customer-provider disputes.
  • Technical interruptions.
  • Payment disputes beyond our reasonable control.
  • Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of the Platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

15. Refunds and Cancellations

Refund Policy

Refunds and cancellations are governed by the applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Independent legal professionals may establish their own consultation, engagement, cancellation, refund, or scheduling policies where permitted by law.

Customers should review these policies before confirming a booking.

Your use of EZZYLAW is also governed by our:

17. Third-Party Services

External Services

EZZYLAW may integrate third-party services including:

These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

18. Suspension and Termination

Account Suspension

EZZYLAW may suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms.
  • Engage in unlawful conduct.
  • Commit fraud.
  • Compromise Platform security.
  • Harm other users or providers.
  • Damage the reputation of EZZYLAW or EZZYTech IT Solutions.

19. Governing Law

Applicable Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts of the Republic of the Philippines.

20. Changes to These Terms

Updates

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, legal requirements, or business operations.

Updated Terms become effective upon publication on EZZYLAW.

Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

EZZYLAW does not provide legal advice, establish an attorney-client relationship, or act as a law firm. Any legal services obtained through the Platform are provided solely by the independent legal professional selected by the customer.
